Japanese spring in the IRLC Winter School

 25 march 2019

In March two groups of Japanese students studied at the Institute of Russian Language and Culture MSU. They arrived for a traditional spring short-term programs during their holidays.

Some of the students came from the Tokai University, our oldest partner in Japan. The students of this university always come on short-term language programs as well as to study here for a year and some of them enter the Master's programs at the MSU.

Another group came from different Japanese universities on a short-term program which is called "2 cities - 2 universities" that turned 14 years old this year. This program implies that the students study in two universities in Russia (IRLC in Moscow and Tver State University in Tver) and visit other cities and interesting places.

After the classes the students walked around Moscow, went to the theatre to see ballet and to the circus, experienced Russian culture. On the weekends they had trips to Yaroslavl, Tver and Sergiev Posad. The program ended with a trip to Saint-Petersburg where the students could see the Isaak Cathedral, take photos of the Peter the Great monument, walk down the Nevsky avenue, visit the Hermitage and go to the Ekaterina's palace in Pushkin.

The Japanese students were the last ones who participated in the Winter School of IRLC but the short-term programs are not over yet. In April we're expecting big groups of students from Spain and Findland.
