Today, on the anniversary of the birth of the Russian novelist, poet and playwright Alexander Pushkin, UN Russian Language Day is celebrated in Russia and in the whole world.
Russian is one of the most widely spoken language in the world. It takes the sixth place by the total number of speakers and the eighth place by native speakers. Also Russian has become the second most commonly used language on the web and one of the most translated languages in the world.
