The intensive six-week online Russian Сourse for Sudanese students called "I become acquainted with the Russian Culture"

The intensive six-week online Russian Сourse for Sudanese students called "I become acquainted with the Russian Culture" has finished. It was organised by the Institute of Russian Language and Culture MSU with support from the Russkiy Mir Foundation. Fifth year students of the Department of the Russian Language at the University of Khartoum took part in classes. 

The specialists of MSU planned the program in such way that Sudanese students forgot they studied online and felt like they travelled around Russia. All thematic lessons that were full of materials speacially created for the Sudanese students or adapted, were accompanied by online meetings, tours and master classes. 

The young Sudanese students enjoyed talking to their peers from the MSU who were able to join the program with the help of The Department For Talented Youth Affairs. Also, the students joined an online tour around Saint Petersburg and Tver where Tver State University students organised a warm online meeting. The students not only improved their Russian, but also learnt something good for household during the classes. 

For example, after the master-class in the Russian cuisine, we are sure that several Sudanese families will take note of such a delicious dish as bliny. 

The master-class in folklore and singing became a nice end of this online course. It was held by a graduate student and a leader of the ensemble Korobeiniki Katarina Yurovskaya. It seems the students of the University of Khartoum know, like and sing Russian songs.
