"The Heart of Moscow" - traditional walking tour for the students of the IRLC

 03 february 2017

One cannot learn a foreign language without studying its culture and history. It is the history of the country and its culture that help to dive into the language and to get to know the people for whom this language is native.

At the IRLC students usually get to study both the language and the culture. They study not only in the classroom but also outside on excursions. The walking excursion "The Heart of Moscow" is one of the most popular among our students. During the walking tour around Moscow students visit the Red Square and the Kremlin, the symbols of Russia.

The students from group 53 visited the Kremlin a few days ago. They learnt how many towers the Kremlin has, what was the first colour of the Kremlin wall and why Tsar Cannon never gave a shot. They saw the symbols of the royal power, the presents of the foreign ambassadors to the Russian tsar, the coronation dress of Catherine the Great and many other interesting and useful things.
