Students from Kyungpook University study in the IRLC Winter School

 17 february 2019

The IRLC and Kyungpook University (South Korea) have long-term cooperation and students from this Korean university regularly visit our Institute for a short-term language and cultural program to practice Russian and to get more knowledge about Russian culture.

This winter 14 students from Kyungpook University came to study at the IRLC. As usual, the program was very intense: from Monday till Friday the students had Russian language classes, excursions in the center of Moscow and to the Moscow museums and on weekends they travelled to other cities.

During these four weeks the students managed to see the capital of the Golden Ring of Russia - Yaroslavl city; cultural capital of Russia - Saint-Petersburg; the city of Tver that was once a capital too. Besides that the students visited Sergiev Posad where they went on an excursion to the monastery and then had a workshop on how to make matryoshka, the traditional Russian doll.

Saying goodbye to the teachers and to Russia was difficult. The students said that they would love to come here once again and to study here more. We hope to see them again soon!
