IRLC WEEK in Japan

The traditional week of the Institute of Russian Language and Culture in Japan was held successfully from 09.12.2016 – 18.12.2016. Two representatives of the Institute – Valeriy Chastnykh (Head of Russian Programs) and Marina Kulgavchuk (Head of the Department of General Subjects) visited 7 partner universities in Yokohama, Tokyo, Osaka, Kobe to meet Japanese students studying Russian and welcome them to Moscow State University for different academic and language programs.

Annualy Institute of Russian Language and Culture accepts 150-200 students from Japan studying at short-term and long-term programs.

Within their visit Valeriy Chastnykh and Marina Kulgavchuk took part in different events such as New Year party organized by Russian Department of Keio University, seminar of the Japanese Society of Russian Language teaching. They also held open classes for students from the universities of Keio, Waseda, Meiji, Osaka, Tokyo and Kobe universities of foreign studies.

During Japanese academic spring holidays which last from the end of February to the end of March Institute of Russian Language and Culture expects more than 40 students from Japan.
