Excursion to the museum-diorama "Tsar-Layout"

 27 january 2023

On January 26, students of our institute together with a teacher, made a trip to 20 cities of Russia in just a couple of hours. They saw Pskov and Nizhny Novgorod, the famous monument "The Motherland Calls!" in Volgograd and the Kazan mosque Kul-Sharif, attractions in Sochi and the Swallow's Nest in the Crimea, looked at the drawing of bridges in St.Petersburg and the fireworks over the Ostankino tower in Moscow. How is this possible? The museum-diorama "Tsar-Layout" contains the most famous architectural monuments and famous objects of 20 cities of Russia on a scale of 1:87. Cars, trains and even cyclists move on the layout, various scenes are played out. Every 11 minutes night falls in the museum, which lasts 4 minutes. At this time, the lights on the layout light up and the night illumination turns on. You can watch the fireworks near the Ostankino Tower and witness the bridges on the Neva River. The students were shown all the objects on the model, as well as the Eastern part of Russia exposition under construction and the workshop where new masterpieces are created. After the tour, the students got acquainted with Georgian cuisine, and also learned how to eat manti and khachapuri in Adjarian style. The students finished the evening at the largest ice rink in Moscow on the main alley of VDNKh. Our students not only skated on the illuminated ice, but also looked at the beautiful pavilions that stand around the skating rink, and also had a closer look at the Friendship of Peoples and Stone Flower fountains, around which ice paths were laid.
